The Opera House

After Roma, I made my way via Brisbane to Sydney. Back to the big big world after a town which main business street takes 5 minutes leisurely walk to get from one end to another. Sydney is slightly bigger. If something is one train stop away, you really better take the train, bcs she distances are significant. Anyhow, my landing in reality was so smooth with Berna waiting for me in the hostel.

Berna is a craaazy German (you have to say that with the German accent) I did together Tasmania overland track back in Feb/March. We already made a good team there, so we had discussed that we might be able to do part of the East Coast travels together, after we have both worked for a while and refunded ourselves. So she worked her ass off in Sydney and me in Roma. Finally when I had decided to go to Sydney for Ben Howard’s concert and massage course, I texted her, and she said sweet, I just bought a campervan, I will wait for you here one extra week and we can do the whole roadtrip together! What a perfect timing :)
So I got to Sydney. I must say there was not much time for sightseeing in those five days. 2 full days of it was introductory massage course in the Australian College of Massage. This is something I have always been interested in and finally gave it a go. At the end of the second day we were ready to give an half hour full body relaxation massage and my partner did fall asleep in the second half of it for a while. I do want to pursue further in this field.
Much of the time went on preparations for our roadtrip (and we did become the best organised and equipped van seen travelling the East Coast in 2012) and just chilling, but said that, of course I have the mandatory snap with the Opera House in the background as well.
